Here’s that ever-growing behemoth of viral link-love blob-monster list thingie again.
Bryan at One Man’s Goal started it, Dan at dcr Blogs put his unique spin on the list, and I helped pass it along, with numerous other bloggers. The list has made the rounds, picking up more and more links, like some sort of viral tumbleweed, as it makes its way through the blogosphere.
The idea, as you know, is to generate links, both for your site and others. Copy and paste the list (select “View Source” to effectively copy the links), add a few of your favorite sites, hit “publish,” and sit back and enjoy the Technorati rush. This time, I’m posting the list with a twist. I’m adding some very worthwhile links (in bold), but I’m also taking some time to pick a few blogs at random and actually read some of their posts. And, when I find a few I like, I’m going to Stumble them and write a short review. Just a little something extra. Nothing required in return.
I’ve been inspired by RT, over at Untwisted Vortex, who kindly offers anyone who comments on his blog a no-strings-attached Stumble review. That’s right—all you have to do is ask (nicely), and he’ll read the post you link to in your comment and write a review.
So, if you’re on the list, why not do the same? Pick a site that sounds good, read an article, and if you like a particular post or blog, give it a Stumble, a Digg, or even just a comment.
And don’t ask for anything in return. That’s real link love, baby!
