Kathy: Ahhh. “The Song Remains the Same.” I never get tired of watching it. Even without the acid. Man, I wish I’d been able to tape the original Live Aid. The DVD collection is great, but obviously they had to leave a lot out. LIKE LED ZEPPELIN!

Hey, my hubs recorded "Song Remains the Same" last night, which aired on VH1 Classics. We're watching it now. As for Live Aid, Dave also has that recorded, on VHS of course. So I'd like to pop that in and see the performance they thought wasn't that good. Thanks for this post. I read it to Dave and he's been reminiscing ever since. Currently watching the Song Remains the Same and found your blog searching the net. I also was a Zep nut back in the 70′s and went to this concert. Zep was by far my favorite band back then, I remember having the “chills” the entire show. I was 16 and awestruck. I went w/a group of friends and scalped tickets for $30. We were all scattered. I also sat in the “rafters” and smoked dope all night long. Who knows, maybe we shared a joint that night. It was a great memory. Definitely the best hard rock band ever.

On a side note, what bizarre ending to Led Zeppelin. I suppose that’s the rock and roll way of life though, huh? Live fast, die young…and sometimes not in the best of ways.

in high-school i went to an N*Sync concert and I thought that it was the highlight of young teen life. Of course, not its an embarrassing story that I would never tell anyone on pain of death…but I’m still glad I went!
