JD: You have never heard the Barbie Girl song?? I will say that having “Dear Prudence” stuck in one’s had is much preferable to the heck that would be the Barbie Song for the 45,968,484 bajillionth time.

We are not very good with animal birthdays here in the Small Town. I keep trying to convince my kids to share their birthdays with the animals so they are easier to remember. Tiggy: Pru is a little suspicious of your excuse, but she's willing to let it slide, seeing how you felt so guilty already about your poor dog's b-day. There's always next year. Jen: Pru has forgiven you! How lucky you are to have gained Pru's forgiveness. Just don't let it happen again (Pru warns). Pricilla: Prudence appreciates your birthday wishes! She has never seen or talked to a goat before, so she is quite honored. She would never stalk you, but she might try to nibble on your ear. Bingo: Thank you for the beautiful hand-written birthday song made up especially for Pru! She has never had a song written in her honor, so she is quite pleased (I don't have the heart to tell her it's not an original song.) Maureen: Aw!
