I Make Your Day

Make my make my make make my day
Yo!

Go on, admit it. I make your day. And best of all, I do it so you don’t have to. Actually, is it even humanly possible for someone to make their own day? “I made my day.” That doesn’t sound right. What does sound right is that Corrina at My Random Blog was kind enough to award me for making her day.

Thanks, Corrina!
And since we’ve determined (have we?) that it is indeed impossible to make your own day, I rely on these wonderful bloggers to make my day for me:
-
Cardiogirl. She’s truly “100% fun,” but don’t let that fool you into thinking she doesn’t take on some thorny issues. Her humor and insight will make your day. Just don’t diss her Converse low-tops.
-
Lord Likely. As in “The Astonishing Adventures Of.” His journals “contain material that some people may find terribly offensive or incredibly arousing.” My verdict: All of the above!
-
The Junk Drawer. Kathy shares her everyday experiences in a way that’s so relatable yet totally hilarious. Read her extremely well-written blog before she becomes famous and gets her own sit-com.
-
Redneck Bar & Grill. No day is complete without a visit to Ernie and Tim. Grab a bottle of Blue Beaver beer and settle in to watch a few bar brawls.
-
View from the Cloud. Reading Jeff’s blog feels like hanging out with a weird but fun neighbor. He reads magazines backward and videotapes his taste-testing adventures!
Wait, wait, wait, hold up. Just as I was about to hit the Publish button, another lovely blogger chimed in with an award.
Look!

Thanks, Fracas! The Sweet as Sugar award was created by Judy at Sugar Queen’s Dream. Isn’t it pretty?
Who better to pass this award along to than Cybele at The Candy Blog? She makes candy fun! Oh, wait. Candy is already totally fun. Well, she makes it even funner and more delicious-looking with great photos.
I love getting awards. And presents. Don’t forget presents, you guys. Yo!

Humor-blogs give the best presents.

LOL JD, you absolutely do make my day… every time I come here!

I do love to get me some awards. Especially the kind that make me funk out. Love that Technotronics song! I shall get my booty on the floor tonight. Yo!
Thanks, JD. You always make my, make my, make my day!
Thanks - you just made my day!
I would like to think I’m a fun neighbor - but I think you’re on to something with the weird, because my neighbors keep moving away!
A few neighbors ago in the house next door, I went over to welcome them to the neighborhood. When the kid opened the door I asked him if his parents were home and he just looked at me like I was insane. He looked like he was about 17 so I just figured he was one of the kids. Turns out he was the owner. Oops!

Great pic of Dirty Hairy by the way. Thanks for stopping by my site. I enjoyed your 80s post. I guess I’m commenting on the wrong one…
JD, you are too much, chick! Thanks! I love that angle of Dirty Harry and his gun. Awesome!
Comcast, my punk cable provide has NOT made my day by taking the cable down for the last 10 hours or so. I’m at the library right now quickly typing before they close the doors for the night.
(Shakes fist at Comcast) Burn in HELL Comcast!
So in short, I hate Comcast, but I love your award. Thanks, JD!
I love, love, love your blog. But you already know that. LOL

Fracas: Thanks, my little sweet tart! Where would I be without all your fuel? (without a cool T-shirt, that’s where!)
Kathy: Well, as you know, I’m all about the funk. YO!
Jeff: That’s hilarious! See, I somehow knew you were a weird neighbor.
Static Thinkbox: You can comment anywhere you like, my friend. And thanks again for the great AI synopses.
Cardiogirl: Comcast must die! But we all must support our local libraries, so good on you.
Corrina: You so nice. That love bounces right back to ya.

You have made my day, my dear! Many thanks indeed!
I shall see to it that this award is placed in a prominent position in my trophy cabinet right away!
Lord Likely: Huzzah! To be included in your trophy cabinet is itself an honor indeed.
Elle! Thank you so much! Nothing brings me greater joy than making the day of others—after making my own day, of course.

When I make someone’s day, I start with only the absolute finest and freshest ingredients. Then I always slow roast it over cherry wood coals until it is absolutely perfect. Thanks for the nod.

Yeah you make my day so I don’t have to, but I know I make my own bed.
You keep me laughing.

Ernie: Mmmmm. You have made this day absolutely delicious.
Natural Woman: Now see? That’s another thing I won’t do. Y’all can make your own beds!
