The cortizone shot simply reduces the swelling of the disk in the back. It result, the disk releases pressure off the pinched nerve and the pain goes away. It’s not necessarily a temporary fix. It is possibly for the disk to pinch the nerve again, but you should just becareful with your back and you may just get lucky! The second shot is stronger than the first one.

Florida Girl In Sydney: I've hard that degenerative disk disease is PAINful. Did the shot help your husband? Yeah, I do have a TENS unit, and I LOVE it. For most things, it really helps. I hate to wear it out in public tho. People act like I've got a bomb attached to my hip. jennyonthespot: It's coming, I promise! That is great about the pain relief. Now get out dancing while you can enjoy it with abandon! And yes a before and after series of the hair would be great. I have a friend who got a foot of hair cut off for a charity event. Really changed her look.

cortisone. really? hmm. not sure i’m ready to go there yet, but it sounds great. no pain.

i didn’t have any pain when i was in warmer temps. i probably just need to move.

Congrats on the hair– what a load off huh? My husband has degenerative disk disease and had the cortisone shot twice. The doctor said that stem cell research could fix that disease for many people, but I guess we won’t hold our breath on that.
Do you have a “tens machine”– spelling??
