Elle: I am STILL rebelling! I don’t think I’ve cut my hair in a year. The hair torture continued into my childhood (does anyone remember that pink tape moms used to plaster curls onto your face?) and adolescence (once I’d finally achieved the Marcia Brady hair of my dreams, I was forced to wear barrettes!)

Maureen: I asked my mom about this, but she was apparently too busy puffing away on cigarette after cigarette as I was being birthed. So much for my I.Q.!

Your mother and mine had the same hairstyling sensibility. Little tiny bangs to further accentuate the expanse of the forehead. Did you rebel at some point and not let them cut your hair AT ALL for four years? Oh. Well, I did. Elle's last blog post..So, I Got a Little Color Job...

Tiggy: I think it's because people rested their coffee mugs on my head that it became square. That ain't no way to treat a baby! Florida Girl in Sydney: Aw. Let's travel back in time, shall we? I'll let everyone call me "blockhead" and you can eat the horrible canned peaches so I won't have to. ann of the shampoo bag: Yes! You got it. And, since I'm pumping up the advertising a bit, I like to give my readers a little something extra to nibble on. As for the comb-down---you're right. I think the classic single, upright pigtail would've helped elongate that cube. elasticwaistbandlady: Is that like bringing sexy back? If so, I'm all for it. And wasn't "Square Pegs" the BEST!

I think it’s the ‘comb-down’ hairstyle that creates the illusion of a square head. Very adorable in a Gerber baby way.

I like the idea of the format. An appetizer post, for when readers (me) don’t have time for a full course meal.
