I originally began this post with the following humble and gracious sentence:
One of the coolest things about Blogtations—the site that collects quotations from blogs around the world—is discovering new and funny blogs.
And then I stopped, because: Poo! Why must there constantly be more new and funny blogs?
My dear friend LOBO at Predator Press sums it up rather nicely. Above his blogroll, he has written with great honesty: “WTF!? . . . OTHER blogs? Dammit!!!”
Haven’t we all felt that way at times? Just when you think you have the best blog on the planet, along comes some young upstart with a sense of humor, some cool widgets, and (struggles for breath) good writing skills.
And that is when you can choose one of two paths. You can either utter the expletive of your choice (see above: “Poo!” or “Dammit!”) OR you can celebrate all the wonderful and diverse blogs by throwing a party.
The lovely Musing from Blogtations has taken the high (non-Poo!) road and is asking her readers to select a favorite quote (from her very excellent site) and share it in a post. Once she has collected 500 quotes, something extremely exciting is going to happen.

I have a lot of homies on Blogtations, but I thought this would be a good opportunity to share with you some of those “other” bloggers we keep hearing about. They are funny, they are good writers, they have something to say.

What in holy hell is HEADCHEESE? I thought it was the byproduct of a venereal disease, not something that anybody actually considered EATING.
Why do I have a butter knife in my hand? Hmm, it has mayo on it, I must have been making a sandwich. But wait, why am I standing in the bathroom? Wait, I don’t even have any lunch meat. And, where are my pants?
I haven’t slept much lately. Is it obvious?
Eating is a competitive sport in my family. We don’t eat until we’re full; we eat until we’re tired.
