Had three wisdom teeth out at age 40 under local. I’m pretty calm, handle acute pain okay, and mostly am fascinated by procedures, so I was okay. But the first tooth did NOT pop out. That’s the tooth that led to the extraction in the first place, a couple of years earlier a dentist thought it had soft spots (but nobody said anything on follow up visits). It snapped, the dentist had to grind out the roots. I strongly suspect you would not have wanted to be awake for that. Drill, drill, suction, drill, suction, more suction.

Talk about dentist work at its best! As the saying goes, “Maybe we are all in the wrong business.” God knows that dentist charge a ton of money when they have to pull teeth. I know from first hand experience; having three teeth pulled.

Oh baby, I do feel your pain. Asking the dentist to drug you up is the best option for both parties It keeps you from screaming in pain and possible lawsuits down the road, LOL.

I suggest you remember one thing- if need be, please make a closed fist and think good thoughts. How about taking a walk on the beach during a nice sunny day? Or better yet you wining the lottery and taking vacations with your husband or wife. These thoughts will help take away the pain as you sit in the dentist chair.
