Congrats – by the way, the “arte y pico” translation sounds better your way, although Lizzie was basically correct with her interpretation of “y pico” meaning a very loose way of saying “and change”.

Hello! Just randomly stumbled across your blog and have been trying to snort with mirth discreetly at my desk ever since while looking thorugh your archives(with little success). Anywho, I couldn’t resist putting in my two cents on your “Arte y Pico” award. In Spanish, “y pico” can be loosely translated as “and such” or “and some”. For example, saying someone is “thirty-something”, you would say they have “treinta y pico” years. Although, I think the “Art and Beak” award sounds way funnier
