My ideal PetSmart would have, obviously, Caramel Milky Ways, as well as donuts, cupcakes, those dijon and honey potato chips, and hot dogs. Tho I don't know if I would trust a PetSmart hot dog . . . Preston: You're still welcome here. Believe it or not, despite the fact that I am not a fan of the nut, I like Snickers, too. They were always one of the top three of my childhood Halloween hauls (Snickers, Milky Way, Baby Ruth). There will always be a place in my heart for Snickers. But not Baby Ruth. Jeff: Hmmm, sounds like a Minnesota thing. Erika: HI! And welcome, creepy commenter! Nothing is too awkward or creepy here. But I do appreciate your tact. So tell me, did you ever check out your PetSmart?

Wow. That was the most beautiful ode to a candy bar I’ve ever read.

And OH MY GOSH THANK YOU for informing me of this new nougatless Milky Way Bar!!! I’m tempted to drive down to my local PetSmart RIGHT NOW to get one… but it’s like, 10:30 at night, so I guess I’ll wait until tomorrow to satisfy my sudden caramel/chocolate craving.

I really love your blog by the way, it’s so funny. And I hope you feel fully recovered soon! (I read your hospital posts too but thought it might be awkward and slightly creepy to comment on them since I’ve only just discovered your blog today… so I decided leave a random comment on the candy post instead )

Noughat actually is a word… just not a word to describe delicious candy filling. Noughat, pronounced as “no-ug-hat,” is a word used to describe a “very attractive cap, headpiece or garment worn on one’s head.”

I’ve been frequently confused by the odd array of food items at Pet Stores. I was at a Petsmart in Cleveland a few years back and found fruit rollups and cream soda. Either there’s some kind of dietary supplement for dogs that I don’t know about or the managers are stocking the shelves with their favorite snacks….. If I ran a Petsmart I would have a pizza and beer aisle.

I love you. I love everything about you from the chocolate to the caramel. I think it’s wonderful that you can now be just caramel. But why at PetSmart, Milky Way? Are you hiding from original Milky Way so it doesn’t beat you up? Because everyone dumped original Milky Way for you?

Well that’s a good idea. I think I’ll hide from original Milky Way too. Because I plan on dumping him right now and be with you, caramel only Milky Way.

Hmm, only caramel? wouldn’t that just make it like a caramilk bar, I love that one too though, other than that I love the three muskateers bar, good God that one is like not too sweet (unlike a mars bar ) but it’s got this soft melt in your mouth fluffy chocolatey form of nougat or something, Oh darn now that I’ve read all this nonsense about chocolate I’ve got to go get some. That’s just terrible! thanks for being funny

Aaaaaah … I had to give up eating ordinary Milky Way some years ago on account of the egg white content. I wonder if I could eat the caramel one? I hope so, because I WANT ONE!! Or six. Heck, send a dozen.
